"Étant donnée une institution I, didactique ou non, on pourra appeler éducation institutionnelle (procurée par I) l'ensemble des changements opérés dans les rapports personnels R(X, O), où O est un objet institutionnel de I, lorsque X devient un sujet de I. On voit, là encore, qu'il faudrait parler d'éducation institutionnelle en position p au sein de I. Si I est une institution didactique et e une position d'élève au sein de I, on nommera alors instruction institutionnelle (pour le sujet en position e) la partie de l'éducation institutionnelle relative aux objets qui sont des enjeux didactiques pour les sujets de I en position e."
